Important.[]

Rating Lines are a common appearance in Pony Town. They used to be hosted closer to the docks, but nowadays if you want to find them they are on the path below the bakery.

What Are Rating Lines?[]

Rating lines are lines that people often host in pony town. The point of it is to give constructive criticism to a person about their pony. The line is very simple, one person sits down in a rather not-crowded part of the man and says things like : "RATING LINE IS OPEN!!" "RATING PONIES!!" "HOSTING A RATING LINE!!".

This causes a few people to line up in front of them, and then the fun part starts.

The Rating Itself.[]

The rating lines are just like any line in real life. One person after the other gets rated and then leaves the line. When rating, the host first asks the person they are rating this : "OC or COS?"

OC stands for Original Character, meanwhile, COS is a cosplay. If the pony they are rating happens to be a cosplay, then most hosts will google pictures of the character and also rate how accurate it is. (Unless the person they are rating states that it's an AU/not supposed to be accurate.)

Example.[]

This is an example of a simple conversation in a rating line. Most will go like this.

The Person Who Is Rating : Next!

The Person Who Is Rating : Hello!

The Person Who Is Getting Rated : Hello!

The Person Who Is Rating : OC Or COS?

The Person Who Is Getting Rated : OC/COS. (If it is a cosplay, they specify which character it is and which media they are from.)

(OC VERSION) The Person Who Is Rating : Alright! I like the color palette a lot. The shading is fine, but it's not consistent in some places. I suggest you try making it a bit more balanced. Also, I don't know if it's just your style that doesn't use highlights, but if not then they would nice if used to point certain things out.

(COS VERSION) The Person Who Is Rating: Okay! I just googled an image of the character, and it seems to be very accurate. Unless this is an AU that you're making, I suggest to change up the hairstyle a little bit. Yours is very messy compared to the original characters'. Also, the shading on the tail is very inconsistent compared to other parts of the design.

Then, the person who is hosting gives a rating.

For example :

The Person Who Is Rating : Hmm. 9/10!

The Person Who Is Getting Rated: Okay! Thank you.

Most people tend to use a 1-10 rating, but some hosts use percentages or scales from 1-100.
